Introduction of the 108HC All-Black Module

Heliene has launched a new all-black solar module called the 108HC All-Black, designed specifically for the rooftop solar market in the United States. This module is notable for its use of American-made polysilicon, ingots, wafers, and solar cells, with assembly also conducted domestically.

This launch continues Heliene's commitment to US-based manufacturing, following previous collaborations with Suniva and Corning to produce fully US-made solar modules.

Partnership with Sunrun and Domestic Supply Chain Benefits

Residential solar and energy storage provider Sunrun has signed a purchase agreement for Heliene’s 108HC All-Black module. Heliene's Chief Commercial Officer, David Reasenberg, emphasized that this partnership supports investment in the domestic rooftop solar supply chain, enhancing energy security and affordability for American families.

Heliene highlights that sourcing solar modules with high domestic content can improve project economics and reduce electricity costs.

Advancements in US Solar Glass Production

In addition to securing the supply chain from polysilicon to modules, Heliene has begun testing American-made solar glass, a component with limited domestic production, especially low-iron patterned glass for crystalline silicon modules.

The solar glass is produced by Stewart Glass at its Logan, Ohio plant, which started manufacturing a 3.2mm front-pane solar glass product in spring 2026, marking the first fully operational solar glass plant in the US.
